Fun-filled Friday - c'est le casse de Brice ;)
It was such lovely weather today! Wakana, Sim and me were supposed go for a little breakfast picnic at Place de l'Europe, but we never got up in time! Especially since I'd slept at 6 am! Hehe. But we got up in time to go to Cine Club at Amy's, where it was nice catching up with everyone and hearing about their spring break stories. We even watched Les Inconnus, they're a comedy trio and their parodies were hilarious!! Anyway, I was sleepy and I headed back home for a siesta....but not before watching the Barbapapa cartoon!! Hehehe. I met up with Simar later on in the afternoon to get something sorted out at France Telecom, and then we headed to Book in Bar to meet Joanna, Layne and Waki. There was a poetry reading this afternoon by an American poet who lives in France. His poetry was accompanied by his friend on the harmonica and the guitar, and the words along with the lilt and beat of the music made for a pleasant evening! There is only short poem that I can now recall - Il n'ya pas de quoi a rire Wake up laughing.... Or don't wake up at all. Too bad I had to leave early! But I had to meet Carly to watch the movie I'd been dying to watch ever since I saw the video of the soundtrack - Brice de Nice!!! Well, its a crazy movie, and it has some hilarious dialogues and scenes, but its quite silly overall. But I love the dialogues, and after the movie Carly and I just kept shouting out with the appropriate handmovements 'Casse, Casse, c'est la Casse de Brice' or 'Contrecasse!' or 'Ca farte?'. Hehehe. Anyway, headed to Aunty Lou's for dinner, but they were having a soiree, so after some free wine, we went to the Chinese place for dinner. After dinner, I went over to Carly's to have some of her yummy cake! Chatted with her and Rebecca, and then came back to watch Sex & the City in French on M6, hehehe. 2 hours of Sex & the City, and then I was up chatting with Waki and she was tickling my hair....I SOOO want to be a cat, really!! ;) And now the crazy Brice song is on TV again, ohmigod, the songs tooo cool, here are some of the crazy lyrics, but you have to hear it and SEE it with the Brice outfit, hairdo and the Casse movements!! Be nice, with Brice! Current Mood: bouncyCurrent Music: C'est le casse de Brice | | Thursday, May 5th, 2005 | | 8:57 pm |
Arc en Ciel
I walked out of the apartment late afternoon to join Simar and Wakana at the Comedie. There was a fair going on in the Comedie with music, stalls and a volleyball match. We then embarked on a long walk - we crossed Antigone and Place de l'Europe and then settled down on the Rives du Lez, close to the huge fountain and right opposite this new Australian cafe we came across. It was a route I'd never taken before, crossing some splendid fountains, gardens and buildings. Aaah those apartments on the Rives....Simar took a photo of them, and they are now part of the 'Houses We want to Own' category along with the villas in Nice, St. Guilhem, Baux de Provence etc. ;) The clouds then parted and the sun shone on us, as we talked and reflected on our stay in Montpellier and all thats happened and changed, before touching on that very murky uncertain thing called the Future! As we were leaving, Waki and I spotted an arc-en-ciel in the fountain and I jumped with joy! I smiled and thought of Papa....when i was a child, he would always seek out the rainbow in the waterfountains to show to me :) Current Mood: pensiveCurrent Music: The Zephyr Song | | Wednesday, April 27th, 2005 | | 11:17 pm |
A day of sightseeing
It seemed to be such a lovely day when I started out, but of course I’ve learnt how deceptive the English weather is by now! Vaibhav had an exam, so I headed off sighseeing on my own. Saint Pauls Cathedral with its famous dome was first on my list. It looked grand from the exterior, but the interior was even more majestic. St Pauls definitely ranks high among all the grandiose cathedrals I’ve seen in France and Italy this year….architecture, art works, sculptures, stained glass and especially the elaborate ceiling art were all impressive. I roamed around for a while in the area surrounding St Pauls as well, Cheapside, smiling as I remembered its name from Pride and Prejudice, my favorite studytime movie. Afterwards, I took a lovely long walk along the banks of the Thames river, lined with imposing buildings, before crossing the reknown Tower Bridge to the Tower of London. I kept stopping on the bridge from time to time to admire the view. However, it started raining all of a sudden and I hurried in to the Tower of London. Unfortunately, the free guided tour given by the historical Beefeaters was cancelled due Crown Jewels, before walking out on the fortified walls that have a great view of the riverbanks and the buildings. I felt really tired since I’d been on my feet all day and being wet didn’t help. But I had to hurry to meet Ragini at Leicester Square, where we chatted away while feasting on ice cream sundaes. Vaibhav joined us later, and then we went to a pub to order some drinks. I was soo dead, so we just returned to Vaibhav’s apartment to to the rain. So I set out on my own to explore the various towers built over the centuries. I checked out the medieval chambers and the stunning retire for the evening. I got a call from Zarir finally, he’d just returned that day from Bombay, but I was too tired to go meet him. I spent the evening watching Desperate Housewives, haha, for the second time in my life followed by other ridiculous TV shows. Vaibhav and I were up late chatting, as we hung out on his balcony. He’s such a sweetheart, he was being his usual motherly hen self and giving me tons of useful advice!! :) Current Mood: tiredCurrent Music: London bridge is falling down | | Tuesday, April 26th, 2005 | | 8:35 pm |
I met Ragini after so many years today! Although she lives in NY, I haven’t seen her and her family in a long time. But somehow it didn’t feel like that long at all, and it never matters if we meet only once in a few years...cuz each time we meet we’re blown away by how similar we are and how much we have in common!! We were laughing about how we keep landing up at the same time in different parts of the world – Australia, India, US and now England! Well, over the summer, she’s doing a Barnard College internship with SAHR in Delhi, so I’ll see her soon :) We chatted continuously for 7 whole hours as we walked around - from Leicester Square all the way across Westminster to Ragini’s favourite spot on the South Bank near the London eye, after which we visited the National and Portrait galleries at Trafalgar square. We walked back to Leicester Square where I was to meet up with Anchit to watch Vagina Monologues at one of the theatres. We went for a quick bite at one of the pubs, and then went for Eve Ensler’s famous play. It was of course uproarious – my sides were splitting with laughter. Anchit was one of the very few guys in the audience and I was really happy he’d bought us tickets for a feminist play few guys care to see. So he came out feeling like he had a vagina, and I kept teasing him about laughing out so loudly at some vagina jokes which I imagine he couldn’t possibly identify with! ;) | | Monday, April 25th, 2005 | | 11:46 pm |
London Potpourri
I went over after lunch to meet Anchit at LSE. Namrata then called and I fixed a rendezvous with her at a nearby café. It was really nice meeting Namu after so long and hearing about her LSE experiences this year and discussing Mt Holyoke and senior year and what not! As she was dropping me to the LSE library to meet Anchit, we even bumped into Maheen. We'd wanted to call her but Namrata had lost her number. So we chatted and caught up, and then Anchit came out of the library and we headed over to Leicester Square and Soho. We went to China town for dinner since Anchit has been insisting that he apparently feels Chinese after his 2 years in Singapore ;) China town's has some very pretty stores and restaurants, with paper lamps and other decorations. However, its not as big as the Chinatowns in New York or Boston. After dinner, Anchit walked me back to Vaibhav’s place and came up for coffee. We all sat together and chatted for a while on the balcony. Around midnight, Vaibhav suggested going for a late night snack at Burger King. He has been raving about this Spicy Bean Burger for a while, which apparently is available only in London Burger Kings, hehe. As we entered Burger King, however, we both burst out laughing because they were playing loud shrill Hindi music. There was a string of really old and ridiculous Hindi movie songs from films like Aashiqui and what not, which I found very entertaining especially since I was sitting at a Burger King in London. Well, that’s London for you - a veritable crossroads of Eastern and Western civilizations, a real amalgam and potpourri of cultures! I love the diversity here.....except for in the weather, I’d like that to be more uniform...uniformly sunny! London at last
I came back to London today, and Vaibhav picked me up from the station to take me to his apartment in South Kensington, a very posh neighbourhood! In the evening, we walked around Leicester Square and Picadilly Circus, and went for a delicious dimsum dinner. Vaibhav was keen to go watch a film in the nearby multiplexes, and he dragged me to go see Amityville Horror Show!! Argh, I had refused to watch this film before in Loughborough, and with good reason – it was scary, violent and very very pointless. We then went to Knightsbridge and decided to make use of the good weather by walking back to Vaibhav’s apartment while enjoying the sights and sounds of London. We walked by some splendid museum buildings and also all the grandiose boutiques and shops – like Harrods! The display windows took my breath away, especially the prices – don’t think I could afford even a thimble from there! ;) Current Mood: adventurousCurrent Music: Paul Simon - Diamonds on the soles of my shoes | | Friday, April 22nd, 2005 | | 11:35 pm |
Country roads
It was a warm, sunny day - the perfect weather to roam around the English countryside. Ruz drove around and I would keep sticking my head out of the sunroof to enjoy the pretty view. The scenic ride was made even more enjoyable by the loud music in Ruz’s car. His car has the nicest cds – Noori, Junoon, Simon and Garfunkel etc and I would sing along with my favorite songs . We stopped at a couple of spots to walk around and admire the woods, lakes and lush gardens. We went to watch Wedding Date at the cinema – after a lot of coaxing and bullying I’d convinced Ruz to watch Pooh’s Heffalump cuz I loove Pooh, but it wasn’t on at that hour!! We were up talking late that night…god knows when we’re going to see each other again. Hmm, it may not be that long actually….Ruzbeh might be doing an exchange program at Purdue in the coming academic year! Three's company.
Shivan came to visit me yesterday. He took off a day from and drove up to Loughborough – its been so long since I’ve seen him, and even longer since he, me and Ruzbeh have been together in the same place! Though now we’re driving around in Shivan’s kickass car....our last time together was a hitch-hiking trip to Pune, trudging down the MUWCI hill and then hopping on to one of those rickety jeeps!! Oh, man, that was four whole years ago!! But some things never change – Ruz and Shivan are still up to their crazy amusing antics, and with them I cannot help cracking and guffawing at the stupidest jokes. At one minute we act like a bunch of clowns, and the very next minute we’re all engaged in a serious conversation about relationships and careers etc. It feels brilliant being back with them again :) Last evening, we went for dinner at an Australian Pub, where I finally ventured to try out kangaroo meat. It tasted quite good. We chatted away and I gave Shivan a hand with his Benson & Hedges, hehe. After dinner, Shivan and Ruz decide to play a practical joke on some of Ruz’s friends. Hehehe, reminds me of our good old MUWCI days. Anyway, so we land up at these friends’ house. Ruz and I hide in the corner, while Shivan rings the bell incessantly and when the door is finally opened, he pretends to be this drunk guy from the Sri Lankan Club and demands to see this one guy and be allowed to enter the house. Ruz’s friend had been completely taken in by the act, and the conversation that ensued was hilarious, concluding with angry comments and the door being banged on Shivan’s face. It was too good! Ruz then went inside and introduced Shivan and everyone had a good laugh! The night ended with us opening the bottle of 1881 champagne that I’d bought from the wine shop in Rue Saint Guilhem. We drank and laughed some more before finally crashing. We got up the next day, and spent the whole morning and afternoon hanging around in cafes and pubs and walking around the town. Outside one of the gardens, we even came across this paid public toilet with instructions in Hindi and Punjabi – that was so out of the blue! We kept delaying Shivan’s departure, begging him to miss another day of work and spend the night. But alas, after a movie and dinner, it was time for him to leave.....wonder whether it’ll be another few years until I see him again? Loughborough and Leicester
It’s been really nice hanging out at the Loughborough campus – the buildings and gardens are very pretty. The sight that overjoys me the most is that of guys playing cricket on the lawns! Ah its been so long since I saw a cricket match. In the evening, Ruzbeh, Devinder and I drove to the nearby town of Leicester, famous for its desi infiltration. But I had never imagined the extent of this infiltration – for like every second shop was an Indian store or boutique with names like Janaklal & Popatlal, Laxmi Stores etc. And there were saris and salwar kurtas in their display windows! Soo strange, I had a hard time believing I was still in England! Well we went inside one of the many Indian restaurants and ordered all sorts of mouthwatering Indian snacks like bhelpuri, chaat, lassi etc. And I couldn't stop smiling as I heard people around me talking in Punjabi, Gujrati....seemed like I was in a Little India Anyway, after our snack, we drove out of Leicester to a small cute English village and landed up at their ancient and quaint pub. We had drinks followed by a very typical British dinner – steak with potatoes and veggies on the side, which I really enjoyed. The food came very soon after ordering, and that was another cause for disorientation - I can’t seem to get used to this quick service concept. I mean, its unheard of in France! Hehe, I think I’ve become too French ;) | | Saturday, April 16th, 2005 | | 9:12 pm |
English holiday begins...
I reached London Stansted airport in the evening, really excited and happy to be seeing Ruzbeh. It was so strange at first to hear everyone around me speak in English, that too with a thick British accent, hehe, it took time to get used to. I also got really thrilled when I spotted bars and bars of Dairy Milk Chocolate in the stalls at the airport!! As soon as I had exchanged my money, I bought this huuge massive bar of chocolate and Ruzbeh couldn’t stop laughing. We then drove up to his college in Loughborough, chatting away and playing Noori and Jal in the car. It was a 2 hour drive, and after dropping our things in his room, we went to visit his friends in their house nearby. I had a nice time meeting and hanging out with all his friends, all very sweet….and they made me a nice, hot cup of chai :) We went back really late, and the parking lot was deserted since college still hadn’t opened up after the April break. So Ruzbeh was like ‘Wanna learn how to drive?’. And I was like Yeaaah of course! I get this childish excitement and kicks by sitting at the wheel, but I still haven’t learnt to drive cuz I refused to get up for 5 am driving classes in Delhi during my holidays! Hehe, so I sat on his lap and felt so exhilarated at learning some basics and attempting to drive! Current Mood: excitedCurrent Music: Jhoomay - Noori | | Tuesday, April 12th, 2005 | | 11:09 pm |
You know you're in France when....
You know you're in France when....your CROUS ticket for a Mozart Concert says the venue is Opera Berlioz, whens its actually Opera de la Comedie!! And you know you've become a true Montpellierien when you actually figure out the mistake on your ticket!! :) Hehe, thank god Cristina and I decided to go early because after 20 minutes of frantic searching around Corum and finding noone but other equally lost students, it struck me that the concert might be at Comedie....and so it was!! We reached just in time, a few minutes before the Orchestre National de Montpellier began its Mozart performance. They played beautifully! I know very little about western classical music, but I closed my eyes for a bit to let the melodious harmony of the instruments sink in, and then I would try to focus on each instrument separately to appreciate its individual music. It was my first time in the Opera de la Comedie - its a few centuries old and its very pretty inside - so I was admiring the decors, the chandelier, des tableaux et des loges etc. and I was racking my brains to remember as much as I could about its architecture, which we studied briefly last month in Theatre class. Earlier in the afternoon I'd had a fun Theatre TD, and it was my turn to perform with Chelsea and Kate in the second scene from Eugene Durif's 'Ni Une Ni Deux' which went off quite well. We're doing 'theatre d'absurde', so none of the words or dialogues make any sense and we all act clowny and ridiculous, but its never enough for M. Saccard who keeps emphasizing 'Plus folle!!', insisting we act even more loony. Hehe, guess his advice rubbed off on the rest of my day cuz I've been acting like a dement! Went shopping at Mango with Simar today.....why are most of the pretty clothes either not the right size and fit or just not the right price? Hehe. *Phew*
Aaah the dreaded Grands Problemes Economiques et Sociaux exam is finally over....but I've noo clue as to how it went. Simar and I realized that we had made completely opposite arguments. Though this is very normal since Simar and I have a history of always arguing on opposite ends in papers and exams and even in real life, it is also kind of worrying cuz I've no idea if I was on the right track or not!! Urk. But Aaah at least I'm registered for all the classes I wanted for fall semester. With Joanna's help at a cybercafe, minutes before my exam while I was panicking over my notes, Joanna registered me for my classes - 3 heavy Econ 300 levels, boooring Geology and Geography requirements and that leaves me with only one exciting class - Beginning Fencing :) *Phew* 2 headaches over....I would have liked to celebrate with a drink, but thanks to a stupid promise I made to Percy of 5 days of abstinence, I can't even do that! Well 2 days to cocktails night at O'Carolans....and 4 days to London!! :) Current Mood: relievedCurrent Music: De Palmas - Paradis | | Tuesday, April 5th, 2005 | | 11:15 pm |
Houdini and another Shahrukh Khan fan, lol
I had a really nice evening with Zidini and Naila. I love the name Zidini - sounds like Houdini the magician, hehe. We had coffee first and then they took me to some quaint shops in these hidden alleyways and backlanes off Comedie that I'd never explored before! We talked about everything under the sun, and Zidini was trying really hard to make a few sentences in English, but he sounded so funny and cute that Naila and I just couldn't help laughing. Naila's English is very good, which is not surprising since she's a LEA student at UPV. So Naila and I are going to be helping Zidini with his English, since he's done with his studies at Richter and will be working in London over summer...which is all great except that he can't even make one coherent sentence in English! Anyway, it was all very entertaining, and even more so when Naila started talking about how she adores Indian movies, especially Shahrukh Khan films!! And then she rattled on about all his numerous films that she'd seen, and she seemed very disappointed to learn that I didn't have a clue about half of them, hehe. God, this is insane, this is like the 5th French person I've met in Montpellier who seems to be an ardent Shahrukh fan....aack Shahrukh Khan mania has taken over the world!! | | Monday, April 4th, 2005 | | 6:29 pm |
ups and downs
Sooo I just found out today that my Histoire d'Economie Politique exam which was supposed to be in May is now in a weeks time!! And noone was sure of what was going on...neither the professor or the Secretariat! And they also decided to change the format of the exam....except....noone knows what the new format is either! Sigh....and now I will have to cut short my weekend in Marseilles *sob**sob* Anyway, had a fun evening. Waki and I went shopping for a while, and then we met up with Farrell to decide on our next cooking group project....we're going to make chevre chaud salad, mousse au chocolat and souffle. Except its going to be apricot souffle and sigh, I'm not a big fruity fan!! I also seem to be watching a lot of movies recently...Carly asked me to come watch Hitch with her. It was in French, and it was hilarious - Hitch: Expert en Seduction! A good change from all the heavy, serious films I've been watching :) I just heard some really shocking news tonight....and thanks for being there Simar and Shivan! | | Sunday, April 3rd, 2005 | | 6:46 pm |
A bit too heavy!!
Just came back from Hotel Rwanda....aah thats the second depressing film I've seen on wartorn Africa this weekend....it was an excellent film, but yeah, it turns your insides! So now I've seen all the films that were nominated for the Oscar Best Film, except for the one that actually won the Best Film award! Hehe, that's life. And Simar's back from Nice :) And Joanna and I have finally started making plans for our Marseilles trip next week! :) :) :) | | Saturday, April 2nd, 2005 | | 12:55 pm |
Aurelie came over to say bye cuz she’s leaving tomorrow to start her internship at Narbonne! I can’t believe she’s actually going away…how quickly time flies…soon it’ll be time for me to leave Montpellier too! Ouinnn! Anyway, we’ll visit her sometime, Narbonne isn’t too far, and she’ll come to Montpellier on weekends as well. Soon after she left, I went with Layne, Carly, Joanna to see ‘Va, vis et deviens’ since I’d heard it was a good film and had been shown at the Berlin film festival. And the film was brilliant, very moving , with a great story line and acting. I highly recommend watching it! After the heavy film, Carly took us for a heavy dinner at Auntie Lou’s – a small, cosy British restaurant on Rue de la Fontaine. The owner is English herself and so friendly. And I loved the music she had on…. I got quite nostalgic while hearing the Beatles’ early love songs - like ‘Please Please Me’ and ‘Sha la la’. It was nice to hear these songs after so long, and Carly and I couldn’t help singing along. For dinner, I had a Ruby Murray and some delumpcious treacle pudding! Carly and I had also ordered Bloody Marys…it was her first one and she didn’t like it so I ended up having hers as well. And since we’d asked for extra vodka....I got a lil woozy by the end of it, hehe! So after dinner, while the other three went to do sheesha at Café Mektoub, I went back home to rest for a bit and get rid of my ‘ivresse’. I drank some hot tea and I started watching this bizarre French film about this girl who kept giving electric shocks to people after a traumatic experience of losing her best friend…it was so ridiculous!! Later on, I met up with Joanna, Layne, Carly at Mektoub. Mohammad was there of course, being his usual friendly clowny self. We then headed over to IDEM for some dancing...I just wanted to let my hair down!! But the others were tired, and since it was early (midnight) when we arrived, it was quite dead inside. So after smoking and hanging out for a bit, we decided to leave…on our way out we met Mary Ann and Jessie. I went over to Layne and Joannas for a bit before coming back to my apartment, after which I just wasted a whole lot of time doing nothing much as usual...and still dint get to bed before 4 a.m.! | | Friday, April 1st, 2005 | | 8:17 pm |
Senegalese dinner.....and Torrey?
Thanks Carly for taking me to this superb Senegalese restaurant for a lovely, but very long, dinner. We were there for more than 3 hours cuz the service was soo slow - more than an hour for the entrees to come! Hehe, well, it's France. Meanwhile, we filled ourselves with bread and red wine. But the food was worth the wait...aaahh! And I got a lil woozy on the strong red wine...good way to drown my sorrows about living in TORREY next year!! Oh, Chandu, why oh why would you choose Torrey? Humph :P | | Thursday, March 31st, 2005 | | 7:12 pm |
La vie a la francaise!
What an eventful day! It started off with a picnic at the beach! Aurelie picked me up at 2 and we drove to the beach at Carnon along with James and Pam...the drive was lovely...the sky was partly cloudy thought and we hoped it wouldn't rain! And it didn't :) The sun came out after a while and we soaked in the sun! Alexandre, Marine, Suzanna and Carolina also joined us at the beach and we had a great time with the cerf-volant(kite-flying) and playing card games. Unfortunately, I suuck at kite flying!! Alexandre, James and Aurelie were very encouraging and did their best to help me improve, but my kite just refused to stay up! Hehe. Afterwards, we just lay down or walked along the edge of the water, for the water's still too cold to wade in. I collected some really pretty shells, and tried my best to capture the shades and hues of the Mediterranean on camera. No such luck!! CARD Games - The French card games I learnt were so much fun! Bataille Corse with 8 players is an absolute riot! We laughed and screamed a lot. It was such lovely weather and we were having such a blast.....I didn't wanna leave... However, we couldn't stay too long, we had grocery shopping to do for the French cooking group dinner session at Farrell's. Simar messaged me the list of ingredients, and for a minute James, me and Aurelie were just stumped - the 6 lbs of duck was alright but a calf's hoof split in half?? And stock from the giblets(sorta like intestines) of a duck??? Eeeeps....anyway after a lot of inquiring, searching around at Carrefour and Auchan's, James finally came across the calf's hoof...no luck with the giblets! So then we headed to Farrell's, we were like an hour late though...and so the dinner preparations started instantly, cuz this duck recipe(Canard aux cerises) was supposed to take 3 whole hours! Anyway we dint have Morello cherries, so we used raspberries instead!! And well, we weren't very loyal to the recipe but it came out quite well. And the duck was accompanied with tasty Pommes de Terre a la Lyonnaise and exquisite red wine! The wine was great, but seriously, it did sorta remind me of the horrid wine we'd had the night before at Arc de Triomphe. Dinner was followed with strawberries and cream....and cigarettes!! Farrell rolled yummy cigarettes and we smoked on his balcony while all the other anti-smokers kept their distance, hehe. And if that wasn't enough for one day, Simar, Layne and me went to O'Carolans for a drink. First thing, I bump into Florent there, and course he couldn't stop asking about Chelsea. Anyway, half the drinks on the menu over cuz there was no cranberry juice left. But Simar(she's an expert on drinks - I keep telling her she's a true Sardarni!) ordered us Lynchberg Lemonades....even the barmaid hadn't heard of it and had to ask another bartender to make it, hehe. It was yummy. Life is good here....la vie en rose! :) | | Wednesday, March 30th, 2005 | | 11:48 pm |
From cannabis to cider to bad wine
8 AM - CANNABIS - The professor was supposed to lecture on the drug problem in Europe, except all he went on and on about was the pharmaceutical properties of all the drugs esp. cannabis....yawn...and about how he'd done it all, hehe!! And that too in French - I didn't get half of it!! 8 PM - CIDER & CREPES - Aurelie took me and Simar to this really nice creperie by the Comedie along with Cecile, Suzanna, Sebastien and Pam. Hehe, its a small world - we discovered that Aurelie's American friend Aurelie is from Smith! Hehe, the Brut Cider and crepes were yummy. P & P - Aurelie wanted to watch Pride and Prejudice, so she and Pam came over to the apartment to watch it, but well it didn't have subtitles, and since it's very sophisticated English, Aurelie had a hard time understanding the dialogues....so I was doing my best to translate Jane Austen in French, hehe!! BAD WINE - I love going to Arc de Triomph at night, standing at the Chateau d'Eau...with a panoramic view of the whole city at night. And the starry skies. Its very peaceful and soothing. Anyway, THIS TIME, I was with Joanna and Simar....and a bottle of wine. Which took really long to open btw, and finally only opened when Simar resorted to her noisy and entertaining tactics of putting it between her legs and tugging really hard. If you didn't know what she was upto, the noises and actions could easily be misunderstood ;) Anyway, the wine was.....very very strange!! Tasted like the tomato soup you get on the Rajdhani trains in India.....urgh. But we still drank it, laughed and had a good time :) |
